Maths Matters
Standard arithmetic is used in many functions of programming. Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division is used in almost every program written. Algebra is used to solve simple problems that many computer programmers will encounter. A surprisingly common sentiment among some programmers is that “computer science is math.” Certainly, computer science as a rigorous discipline emerged from mathematics. So if you are in top 2 sets in Maths, you should consider to study computer science an EBACC subject for at least GCSE level, to be equipped with the 21st century skills i.e. problem solving.
