What we teach at KS3

The Computing programme of study has been revamped to incorporate the new changes made by the 2014 National Curriculum. The students here at Rokeby are now given the opportunity to learn skills such as Programming, Networking and Data management. Alongside this we have introduced a range of new software applications this year. i.e.Kodu, AppInventor and various programming languages. Next academic year they will start on a new course - Only Computer Science.

What we teach at KS4

GCSE Computer Science ( KS4 )

New challenge for students to have the opportunity to learn how computers work (Computer Science) as opposed to how computer systems are used (IT) and develop new systems by writing new software for traditional scenarios, gaming industry, smart phones etc.
